Assigning teaching loads are one of the most challenging tasks of deans and chairmen of disciplines especially when colleges and universities offer several subjects during the enrollment period. Tey usually encounter problems to in assigning teaching loads. Faculty qualifications, as well as faculty evaluation by
students, have to be considered. Te development of a web-based pre-loading (WPS) addresses these perennial problems. Te study aims to analyze the existing pre-loading problems and to design, develop, and test run a WPS for the faculty at a University as a solution to faculty loading. Descriptive research and technology development using technological acceptance model were used. Tree sets of researchers made survey questionnaires were administered to the nine deans, 11 chairmen of disciplines, and six IT experts and end-users from the University of Cebu and the data were tabulated, analyzed and interpreted using simple percentage, universal sampling, and ranks. Results showed that the developed WPS was effective and efficient since the system was highly accepted. Based on the findings, the researchers strongly recommend the immediate implementation of the developed system. However, further research on the effectiveness of the WPS should be conducted to confirm the preliminary findings.
