The aim of this study is to determine if there is a signifcant relationship between wife’s higher income and perceived marital satisfaction. With a total of 50 Filipino married couples as respondents, this study found that there was no existing signifcant relationship between the two variables. The results revealed that income is not a sole determinant to marital satisfaction. Acceptance, support from the husband, mutual support and the existence of common goals are some of the possible reasons why the wife’s income is not a major factor to marital satisfaction.
