BUKO PIE: A SEMIOTIC ANALYSIS ON ITS SIGNS AND MEANINGS

Abstract:

This research studied the signs and meanings of the stakeholders of production and residents of Barangay Anos, Los Baños, Laguna towards Buko Pie. The specific objectives of the study were: 1) to delve into the signs and meanings of Buko Pie constructed by the stakeholders of production and the residents of Barangay, Anos, Los Banos, Laguna, and 2) to probe how the stakeholders and residents communicate their meanings of Buko Pie. Guided by phenomenology and meaning-making theories, the researchers interviewed 10 participants. Data were analyzed by identifying themes.
