The researchers determined the level of psychological well-being (autonomy, environmental mastery, positive relations with others, personal growth, purpose in life and selfacceptance) of the respondents and the level of trauma that they have acquired after suffering from a series of typhoons. The researchers looked into the relationship between psychological well-being and trauma. The correlation of the variables revealed why despite the same suffering, the victims have different levels of trauma.
