The study looked into the link between school connectedness and academic help seeking among college students. Participants (n = 337) came from private and state-run educational institutions in the Philippines. Results showed that students with higher scores in school connectedness were more willing to ask for help from their teachers and from their peers. Likewise, those who had higher connectedness engaged in less help-seeking avoidance. Even with the addition of motivational and demographic variables, school connectedness prevailed in its contribution to students’ help seeking behavior. Classroom and school level implications of the findings are forwarded in the discussion.
