Calculus-based Physics

Emmanuel T. Rodulfo

Abstract:

Newton’s mathematical description of motion using the basic concepts of differential calculus is briefly revisited and applied. The concept of the derivative and Taylor’s theorem are used to categorize the simplest types of motion. The mathematical description of harmonic motion and wave propagation equation is also discussed.
