This research aimed to demonstrate and collect data on the benefits of spoken word poetry for intrapersonal and interpersonal communication. The study relied on qualitative data. This study included eight Quirino State University, Cabarroguis campus students who were officially enrolled for Academic Year 2018-2019 and had competed in the literary competition Spoken Word Poetry. The nature of the intrapersonal and interpersonal communication benefits received by engaging in spoken word poetry was examined by the author. Based on the causes and elements that impact the participants' intrapersonal and interpersonal communication, spoken word poetry is an essential genre that will assist students in developing confidence and discovering their self-identities via performance. Finally, the author gives recommendations.
