The purpose of this study was to develop a model of institutional leadership through testing the four hypothesized models. Descriptive correlation method and adopted survey questionnaires were utilized involving 104 school administrators and 258 teachers of higher education institutions in Region 10 and 11 chosen through purposive sampling. Using path analysis with LISREL, at p<.05, it was found that model 4 was the best fit model which depicted that institutional leadership was directly affected by the administrators’ change management skills, personal traits, and readiness for leadership roles; and indirectly associated with their professional profile. It is recommended, therefore, that the model in this study be given due consideration by the school leaders in managing their respective institutions.
