Abstract:

Two hundred seventeen (217) Grade 7 students from Parang High School SY 2015-2016 in Marikina City participated in this study which investigated the relationship between mathematics anxiety and classroom environment. This is to specifically determine which aspect in the classroom environment affects students in learning mathematics anxiety. Scores were analyzed using Pearson Chi-square. Results showed that there is a significant relationship between mathematics anxiety and the classroom environment in classmates support category (r=.000). This indicated that a tendency for students having unsupportive classmates to have higher levels of mathematics anxiety.
