Ang Pagdalumat ng Bentahan sa Navotas Fish Port Complex Upang Masipat ang Kalagayan ng Pangingisda sa Pilipinas

Abstract:

Lumalala sa Pilipinas ang suliranin sa pangingisda dahil sa politikal na paraan ng pamamahala ng gobyerno. Sinipat sa pag-aaral na ito ang kalagayan ng bentahan ng mga pagkaing-dagat sa Navotas Fish Port Complex batay sa pagsaalang-alang sa kalikasan, panahon, at pandemyang Covid-19. Binuo ito sa tatlong magkakaugnay na layunin ngunit magkakaiba ng paraan ng pagsipat. (1) ang panahon sa karaniwang bilang ng inaangkat at nabebentang isda, (2) ang pag-aangkat ng isda batay sa bilang, uri, at pinagmulan/pagdadalhan, (3) presyong inilalatag batay sa supply at demand ng isdang naangkat. Ginamit ang socio-economic bilang teorya sa pag-aaral dahil hangad na makita ang kilos ng mga tao sa bentahan ng isda upang matugunan ang benta at makaambag sa ekonomiya. Nabatid sa pag-aaral na malaki ang gampanin ng pamahalaan sa pangingisda dahil mayroon pamantayan na kailangang sundin bago makapanghuli at maiangkat ang pagkaing-dagat. Dagdag pa rito, naipakita na mas bumababa habang tumatagal ang inaangkat na isda sa NFPC dahil sa mga suliranin sa maayos na panghuhuli, hindi inaasahang sakuna, at epekto ng kasalukuyang pandemya. Ito ay nakaapekto sa magiging presyo ng isda sa palengke o iba pang pamilihan. Ngunit higit na nagsasakripisyo ang mga mangingisda at kasapi sa bentahan dahil nakatuon lamang ang solusyon ng pamahalaan sa importasyon ng isda sa ibang bansa. Sa kabuuan, mainam na may malay ang isang tao sa salik ng dami o kaunting benta upang makiangkop sa lipunan habang kailangan magpatupad ang pamahalaan ng maayos na plataporma para sa pagpapayabong ng pangingisda sa ekonomiya ng Pilipinas
