Abstract:

This feasibility study was conducted to determine the feasibility of establishing a Grabtaxi business in Lucena City for the commuting-residents of Lucena City, Tayabas City and its nearby municipalities, specifically Pagbilao, Lucban, Sariaya, and Candelaria. The name of the business is EZ RIDE TRANSPORT SERVICES CORPORATION. The goal of the proposed business is to provide an easy-to-haul and safe ride. The head office and plant site will be at Lot 056, Brgy. Isabang, Lucena City. Having exploratory and descriptive designs, survey questionnaires, informal interviews, and accessing legitimate documents and reports have been employed to gather data to answer the objective of the study. The target market of the proposed business is the commuters of the said locale, considering those who own vehicles and belong to the middle and upper classes. The total capital needed to start the proposed business is Php 26,000,000. The incorporators will provide Php 18,000,000, while the remaining Php 8,000,000 will be taken as a loan. The results of the analysis, which used descriptive statistical tools, financial ratios, and content analysis, indicated that establishing a Grabtaxi business in Lucena City and operating it in its nearby cities and municipalities as its target market is feasible, as evidenced by the market study findings, technical study findings, management study findings, financial study findings, and socio-economic findings. To sustain its competitive advantage, possible recommendations are provided by the researchers.
