Rosas: Kulay at Kilusan

Abstract:

Masalimuot ang kasaysayan ng rosas bilang kulay. Samu’t sari ang mga pagpapakahulugan na ikinabit dito ng iba’t ibang grupo tulad ng mga feminista, mga may kanser sa suso, komunidad ng LGBTQ+, at sosyalista, bago ito tuluyang nakapasok sa Pilipinas. Sa konteksto ng pampanguluhang halalang 2022, ang rosas ay nagbagong-anyo bilang kilusan na umiinog sa kandidatura ni Leni Robredo, na maaaring bansagan bilang “Kilusang Kulay Rosas.” Liban sa panimulang pagsasakasaysayan sa pulitika ng kulay rosas sa kontekstong pandaigdig at pambansa, layunin ng sanaysay na ito na ilarawan ang Kilusang Kulay Rosas sa pamamagitan ng paglalapat ng dalumat ng “maganda,” na unang komprehensibong kinonseptuwalisa ng teologong si Jose de Mesa. Ang kagandahang panlabas nito sa anyo ng mga sining (tula, komiks, awit, sayaw, pinta, dula, laruan, laro) at bolunterismo ay estetikal na manipestasyon ng etika ng Kilusang Kulay Rosas -- kagandahang panloob ng kilusang naniniwalang mas radikal ang magmahal.
