Abstract:

To explore the experiences and knowledge of senior high school learners and teachers towards online shopping. The study aims to identify the benefits and challenges of online shopping as well as the factors that influence the decision to shop online among the selected participants. This study employed a multi-method approach in collecting information from the participants. A purposeful sampling technique was used to select participants from Sto. Niño Ilaya National High School (SNINHS) in Barangay Sto. Niño Ilaya Lopez Quezon, Philippines. The selected participants were senior high school learners and teachers who had experience and knowledge about online shopping. The data collection was done through a survey questionnaire and interviews. The researcher also used gadgets to take videos and pictures for documentation. The collected data were analyzed without bias to ensure the validity of the findings. The study revealed that most of the selected participants have experience in online shopping and perceived it as convenient and time-saving. The benefits of online shopping include the availability of a wider range of products, easy price comparison, and the ability to shop anytime and anywhere. However, some challenges were identified, including the risk of fraud, late delivery, and the inability to physically inspect the products before purchase. The factors that influence the decision to shop online include product availability, product quality, delivery time, and price. Moreover, the study found that the selected participants relied on social media and online reviews to make informed purchase decisions. In conclusion, this study provides valuable insights into the experiences and knowledge of senior high school learners and teachers towards online shopping. The findings can be used to improve the understanding of online shopping behavior among this population and inform the development of strategies to promote safe and secure online shopping practices.
