Anatolio A. Penados, Jr

Abstract:

This study assessed the practice of organizational culture of an Electric Cooperative using the Competing Values Framework and Denison’s Organizational Culture Dimensions Model. It also sought to answer the problems encountered by the management supervisors. The study used the descriptive method of research and the respondents were the management supervisors and rank and file employees of the electric cooperative. The research instruments used were survey questionnaire, interview and focus group discussion. Descriptive statistics was used such as frequency distribution, percentage, weighted mean, T-test and Analysis of Variance for data measurement. The results show that the Market type of organizational culture dominantly prevailed. The findings also suggest that among the four organizational culture dimensions, mission and hard work had the highest extent in terms of implementation. Moreover, there had been setbacks encountered in the practice of organizational culture. However, these can be resolved through the different strategies recommended by the employee-respondents.
