Abstract:

This study aimed to develop and evaluate the game-based strategic intervention material in Mathematics 8 for the students Benjamin B. Esguerra Memorial National High School during the school year 2023-2024. The researcher utilized descriptive method of research using n adopted questionnaire checklist to evaluate the developed learning material and researcher-made parallel tests and to determine the level of performance of the students. Based on the results, the Math experts and teachers evaluated the developed material as in terms of content quality, instructional quality, and technical quality as Very Satisfactory with the gained grand weighted mean of 3.76 and 3.78. The Grade 8 students gained a mean of 31.818 in their pretest. There was a significant increase in their performance as reflected in the posttest with a mean of 43.705. Likewise, the developed game-based strategic intervention materials in Mathematics 8 could be utilized as effective learning materials in teaching the subject. It is recommended that the teachers may develop their own version of intervention materials.
