Employability Status of The Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Graduates of The Universidad De Zamboanga (2015-2019): A Tracer Study

Abstract:
A tracer study is a potent tool that can provide valuable
information for evaluating the whereabouts and performance
of graduates in the workplace. This research study traced the
employability status of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
Graduates of the Institution of Universidad de Zamboanga
from 2015 to 2019. To assess the employability of the
graduates, the graduate standard tracer (GST) survey
instrument questionnaire from the Commission of Higher
Education (CHED) of 2011 was utilized in this study. Data were
collected through the survey method by using purposive and
convenience sampling. The quantitative-descriptive research
design was used in this study. Descriptive statistics was
employed in determining the trends, patterns, and
characteristics of the graduates' Profile employability of BS
Pharmacy Graduates. The results and findings of this study
would be presented to the BS Pharmacy Department School of
Allied Medicine (SAM) to inspect to improve the
program/curriculum further and to review the competencies
of the graduates to land better employability. The study
complies with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and
the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities
Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). The research
likewise supports the United Nations Sustainable Development
Goals No.4 on Quality Education and No. 8 Decent Work and
Economic Growth.
