Olfindo Sherry E. Belmoro, PhD Abstract Parents' understanding and involvement in their children's education is significant to attain quality education. This study aimed to determine the level of parental understanding as to the role of their children as learners, their role as parents, and their role as learning facilitators and parental involvement along learning activities at home, family involvement at school, and school outreach to engage families. The researcher surveyed 69 parents of Grade 6 pupils in Camarines Norte, Philippines. Findings revealed that parents have a very high understanding of the role of their children as learners, their role as parents, and their role as learning facilitators and high involvement in learning activities at home, family involvement at school, and school outreach to engage families; the level of understanding has no significant relationship to their understanding and their involvement in children’s learning. Grade 6 pupils received fairly satisfactory grades in their performance tasks. The activities in the Intervention Plan were proposed to enhance the understanding and involvement of parents in their children’s learning achievement.
