COVID 19 Pandemic: Its Impact Among Universidad De Zamboanga - Pagadian Students’ Mental Health

Abstract:

The study focused on COVID- 19 Pandemic: Its Impact Among Universidad de Zamboanga-Pagadian Students’ Mental Health during the first 6 months’ quarantine period. The study directed on determining the effects of the recent pandemic to the mental health of the students while on quarantine and determining the stress levels experienced by the students on the said time as its overall framework focal point. The study aimed to answer the following questions. (1) on the level of stress experienced by the students in terms of; psychological, social, and environmental? (2) the significant difference in the level of stress experienced by the students when their profile is considered? This study was a descriptive survey method aimed measure the Psychological, Social, and Environmental impacts of Covid-19 Pandemic to the mental health of the target respondents considering their different and distinct demographics. One hundred eighty-nine (189) respondents were involved in this study divided into three (3) departments with sixty-three (63) respondents participate in Nursing, Medical Technology, and Pharmacy Department. The study showed that the overall level of stress towards the students of Universidad de Zamboanga Pagadian had an ‘average’ impact indicating that the majority of the respondents were very neutral about the said global situation.
