Abstract:

Traffic congestion has been defined as a condition of traffic delay, that is when traffic flow is slowed to below reasonable speed (Weisbrod, 2016). There is growing evidence, validated by empirical data, that traffic congestion impacts many different configurations – including not only in the movement and bringing people to required destinations – but also on the psyche of commuters. This study uncovered the effect of traffic congestion in Sariaya, which has led to a tourist destination in the province of Quezon. The descriptive survey approach was used to assess traffic congestion’s impact on service quality, marketing, operations, and finance. A total of one hundred sixty-five respondents consented to participating in this study. The results of the study concluded the negative effect of the phenomena of traffic congestion in Sariaya, Quezon, which can be the basis for policy and decision-making purposes.
