Abstract:
This study investigates the role of Information Technology (IT) adoption in transforming traditional industries, focusing on its impact on customer satisfaction, revenue growth, operational efficiency, and cost reduction. With the rise of digital technologies, industries such as retail, manufacturing, logistics, and banking are increasingly integrating IT solutions to improve their business models. Through a mixed-methods approach, data was collected via surveys and interviews from executives and managers involved in the IT adoption process. The results indicate that IT adoption significantly improves customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, particularly in sectors like retail, which showed the highest benefits. While retail and manufacturing reported substantial revenue growth and cost reductions, the banking sector faced challenges in leveraging IT due to regulatory constraints and slower integration. The study also identifies common barriers to IT adoption, including skills gaps, integration complexity, and high initial costs. The findings suggest that overcoming these challenges is crucial for traditional industries to fully realize the benefits of digital transformation. The study concludes with recommendations for businesses to invest in employee training, scalable IT solutions, and phased implementation strategies to enhance their digital capabilities and drive sustainable growth.
