Abstract:
In recent years, the incidence of breast cancer in women has remained high and shows a trend of younger onset Therefore, from a psychological perspective, this study explores the relationships among breast cancer patients' cancer self-efficacy, family avoidance of communication about cancer, and their fear of cancer recurrence. Based on the research results, a proposed intervention plan suitable for Chinese breast cancer patients will be formulated. A total of 238 hospitalized breast cancer patients in China were included in this study. The demographic characteristics of the respondents included 11 demographic data. The results showed that all the surveyed breast cancer patients were female. The results showed that the cancer self-efficacy of breast cancer patients was lower than the average level and needed to be improved. The degree of family avoidance of communication about cancer among breast cancer patients was also lower than the average level. The differential analysis shows that there are significant differences in the fear of cancer recurrence among breast cancer patients. Correlation analysis shows that there is a significant negative correlation between the fear of cancer recurrence and cancer self-efficacy in breast cancer patients. There is a significant positive correlation between the fear of cancer recurrence and family avoidance of communication about cancer, and a significant negative correlation between cancer self-efficacy and family avoidance of communication about cancer. Regression analysis shows that the cancer self-efficacy of breast cancer patients can negatively predict their fear of cancer recurrence. Family avoidance of communication about cancer can positively predict their fear of cancer recurrence, which means that reducing family avoidance of communication about cancer can reduce their fear of cancer recurrence.
