Discipline: Education Administration
Following a qualitative approach, this descriptive study investigates the current state of the instruction function as perceived by instructors of the Sunday High School program among six service providers in Davao City. Data were gathered from focus group discussions on five aspects of the instruction function: Delivery of Instruction; Number of Teaching Hours; Struggles in the Sunday High School Setup; Strategies Employed; and Management of Student Behavior. Findings discuss the difficulties teachers reported in the use of the modules prescribed by the Department of Education for the purpose of delivering the expected learning outcomes. Recommendations are tentatively proposed to address the teachers’ difficulties.
