Abstract:

This study aimed to determine the challenges encountered in distance learning among Grade 11 learners of Iligan Computer institute S.Y. 2020-2021 in this time of the pandemic. The study answered the questions on the profile of respondents in terms of age, sex, and family monthly income as well as the challenges encountered in digital learning in securing the digital modules, learning space at home, and learning facilitator at home. This study also investigated the significant relationship between demographic profiles of the respondents and the challenges encountered in their digital learning and their academic performance. The descriptive correlational method of research was used in this study. Results revealed that most of the respondents were in the age bracket 17-18 years old and there was no problem in module distribution, information dissemination, availability of learning materials, and learning facilitator except in the provision of learning space at home. The result also revealed that learners were performing well academically and a significant relationship was established between the challenges encountered in terms of securing the module learning materials.
