Abstract:
This study focused on the elementary
school teachers' goal setting, monitoring, and feedback
practices in some identified schools. Respondents of the
study were chosen using stratified random sampling
with 117 teacher respondents. Validated and reliable
questionnaires were used to gather the needed data for
this study. Analysis of the responses demonstrated that
the greater the instructors' focus on goal-setting
activities, the better the monitoring practices
performance commitment of teachers.
The results indicate that improving teaching
methods can increase instructors' commitment to
monitoring practices, learning environment, planning
and evaluation for learner variety, and personal and
professional development. The results of the analysis
further revealed that the larger the instructors'
concentration on goal-setting activities, the better the
monitoring practices and performance commitment of
teachers.
The findings suggest that enhancing teaching
methods can boost instructors' commitment to
monitoring practices, creating a positive learning
environment, planning, and evaluating for learner
variation, and personal and professional development.
Based on the results, this paper recommended the
teachers training plan which is the output of this study.
