Demographic Development in the Philippines

Teresa C. Del Castillo

Discipline: Demography

Abstract:

A basic imperative in the study of economic development is determining what population trends there had been in the past. how they are in the present, and how they will likely be in the future. Such data would serve as a basis in formulating policies in resource allocation, with its attendant implications on the social, political, legal and economic life of the nation.
