Benevolent Living

Erlinda Bragado

Abstract:

The book is ecumenical in character, as it intends "to show how reason can unite people with one another through the sharing of life's universal or intrinsic values." Nevertheless, the authors affirm their Christian commitment as they underscore the theistic vision as the wellspring of authentic happiness. The authors' application of a philosophical, proto-scientific approach to religion and ethics is their attempt to emulate the great scholar Thomas Aquinas, who integrated spiritual knowledge with natural knowledge.
