Abstract:

Layunin ng pag-aaral na patunayan na ginagamit ng estado ang El Filibusterismo ni Jose Rizal upang ipagpatuloy ang pagsupil sa diwang mapagpalaya ng kabataan. Layunin din ipakita na magagamit ang isang metodo ng kritika para mahuli ang pag iintriga ng estado sa larangan ng ideolohiya. 

Sinasadyang pinipilipit ng estado, sa pamamagitan ng kinakasangkapan nitong sistema ng edukasyon, ang kaloobang makabayan ni Rizal. Ginagawa ito ng estado sa maraming paraan, unang-una na ang sapilitang pagpapabasa sa mga estudyante sa hayskul ng pinilipit na bersyon ng El Filibusterismo. 

Gagamiting teksto sa pagsusuri ang Kabanata 13 ng nobelang El Filibusterismo, na nagkukuwento tungkol sa isang klase sa pisika sa Unibersidad ng Santo Tomas noong ika-19 na dantaon. 

Gagamitin ding pangkalahatang teorya ang teoryang post-kolonyal na binuo nina Renato Constantino at Bienvenido Lumbera. Gagamitin namang metodo ang ginagamit ng mga kritiko na sumusunod sa Cultural Materialism sa Britanya, sa New Historicism sa Estados Unidos, at sa mga teoryang post-kolonyal sa mga bansang kasapi sa British Commonwealth.

It is the objective of this paper to prove that the state is using the El Filibusterismo of Jose Rizal to continue governing the independent consciousness of the youth. It is also the purpose to show that a method in critics can be used to catch the state in intriguing the field of ideology. 

The state deliberately pushes the nationalism of Rizal through the use of the system of education. The state does this in many ways, first in this is the requiring of the students in high school to read the discomfited version of El Filibusterismo.

The text which will be used for analyzing is Chapter 13 of the novel El Filibusterismo, which depicts the story of a class in physics in University of Santo Tomas during the 19th Century.

The post-colonial theory which was formulated by Renato Constantio and Bienvenido Lumbera will be used as the general theory. Also, employing the methods used by the critics following the Cultural Materialism in Britain, the New Historicism in the United States, and the post-colonial theories in the countries who are members of the British Commonwealth.
