Abstract:

Ang papel at identidad ng ethnographer/field worker ay sinusuri ng may-akda sa pamamagitan ng pagbabalik-tanaw sa kaniyang mga karanasan sa field bilang di-propesyonal at propesyonal na ethnographer. Ang mga salaysay na ito ang magsisilbing tanglaw tungo sa mas maliwanag na pag-unawa sa papel at identidad ng ethnographer sa mga pamantasan at sa kultura at lipunan na kanilang dinadalaw.

The role and identity of the ethnographer/field worker are examined by the author through an account of his previous experiences and work in the field both as non-professional and as professional ethnographer. These accounts serve as a source of light for a better understanding of the role and identity of the ethnographer inside the university and in the fields that s/he visits.
