Antas ng Kasanayan sa Sayusay sa Paggamit ng Wikang Filipino ng mga Estudyante sa Pribadong Paaralan

Abstract:

Mula pa noong panahon ng mga sinaunang Griyegong Pilosopo ay itinuturo at pinagaaralan na ang sining ng sayusay. Nauukol ito sa maganda at kaakit-akit na pagpapahayag, maging pasalita man o pasulat. Tulad din ng ibang wika ang ating wikang Filipino ay may mga kakayahang nagbibigay dito ng kagandahan (Casanova, 2018). Ang pag-aaral na ito ay ginawa sa isang pribadong paaralan upang sukatin ang antas ng kasanayan sa sayusay sa aspeto ng balarila, pagbigkas, talasalitaan, at katatasan sa paggamit ng wikang Filipino. Isinalang ng mananaliksik na walang natatanging kaibahan sa antas ng kasanayan sa sayusay. Nakaangkla ang pag-aaral na ito sa konseptong “Communicative Competence” ni Dell Hymes (Hosni, 2014), na nakapokus sa pagsasalita. Ito ay tumutukoy sa antas ng pag-aaral ng wika na nagbibigay-daan upang ihatid ang kanilang mga mensahe sa iba sa loob ng mga tiyak na konteksto. Isang kwantitatibdeskriptib na disenyo ang pag-aaral na ito na gumamit din ng pamamaraang palarawang pananaliksik. Ginawa ito sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng talatanungan at isang pasalitang pagtataya na gumamit ng rubrik. Mayroong 152 na tagatugon mula sa kabuong populasyon. Lumabas na may kaibahan ang antas ng kasanayan sa sayusay sa balarila at talasalitaan ngunit walang kaibahan sa pagbigkas at katatasan kung uriin ayon sa kasarian. Samantala, may kaibahan naman ang balarila, talasalitaan, pagbigkas, at katatasan kung uriin naman ayon sa strand. Dahil dito, mariing na minumungkahi na magbigay ang mga guro ng mga pagsasanay sa sayusay at maisama sa paggawa ng modyul o silabus ang sayusay.
