Discipline: Education

Abstract:

This descriptive-correlational and causal study at Central Mindanao University, grounded in Lev Vygotsky's Social Learning Theory and the Health Belief Model, assessed the readiness, attitude, and academic performance of 115 nursing students in face-to-face classes using universal sampling. Findings indicate a high readiness level and positive attitudes toward face-to-face learning, correlating with moderately good academic performance. Notably, a significant negative correlation exists between readiness and performance, underscoring the importance of student preparedness in enhancing educational outcomes. These insights are crucial for educators and administrators in optimizing teaching strategies and integrating technological support to improve student success. Future research should investigate specific factors influencing academic achievements and develop targeted interventions to enhance learning experiences.
